At The Village Vanguard - The Bill Evans Trio. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей. Sunday at the Village Vanguard is a live album by jazz pianist and composer Bill Evans and his Trio consisting of Evans, bassist Scott LaFaro, and drummer Paul Motian. Released in 1961, the album is routinely ranked as one of the best live jazz recordings of all time. Sunday at the Village Vanguard was drawn from material recorded during five sets on June 25, 1961, at the Village Vanguard in New York City. This was the last performance by the Bill Evans Trio with bassist Scott LaFaro, who was killed. Vanguard is a 1961 album by jazz pianist and composer Bill Evans. at the Village Vanguard was recorded live on June 25, 1961 at the Village. Sunday at the Village Vanguard is the initial volume of a mammoth recording session by the Bill Evans Trio, from June 25, 1961 at New York's Village Vanguard documenting Evans' first trio with bassist Scott LaFaro and drummer Paul Motian. Its companion volume is Waltz for Debby. This trio is still widely regarded as his finest, largely because of the symbiotic interplay between its members. Bill Evans wrote in the liner notes for the album: Im hoping the trio will grow in the direction of simultaneous improvisation rather than just one guy blowing followed by another guy blowing. If the bass player, for example, hears an idea that we wants to answer, why should he just keep playing a background . I remember playing in the Village Vanguard with Bill and Scott LaFaro with only 4 people in the club, and talking to Max Gordon and saying, Hey, man, can we go home theres only four people, and he says, Oh, no, youve still got a table of people and youve got to play another set. But the trio kept playing, improving and gelling together as a unit. EVANS,BILL TRIO-SUNDAY AT THE VILLAGE VANGUARD BONUS C UK IMPORT VINYL LP NEW Condition: New. Страница релиза. To look at Bill Evans in the 1950s and '60s, one might think that he was the most unlikely looking jazz titan to ever depress a piano key. Thin and bespectacled with a dweeb's haircut, Evan's was the picture of a bookish intellectual. He was well versed in the European Impressionism of Les Six and Debussy, deftly folding that introspection into performances of the American Musical Canon, as well as his own classic compositions. Serious about his craft, doubtful of his significance, Evans produced a body of music that had the most profound effect on all pianists to play jazz afte
